@cnn.com @eashford.bsky.social RE: Elex Michaelson, 'The Story.' T his goes for you too, Michaelson. Ashford, What do you have against people who face struggles and make positive transformations in their lives? You seem just as much a "broken vessel" when you’re bigoted against those working to change themselves for the better. Your attitude comes across like the stereotypical American media—giving little regard or understanding to the real mental health process. Me? I’m a person with a brain injury who’s undergone huge transformations—living with PTSD, speech and physical therapy, psychological counseling, and a full cognitive evaluation (unlike certain sociopaths in the White House). I’ve been dealing with ongoing stroke recovery for over 20 years. Platner pursued positive change. To call people “broken vessels” just because they’re improving themselves is way over the top. Honestly, you should seek counseling yourself—even if you’re being paid to say what you do. For those of us living with invisible injuries, we’re actually the lucky ones, because we’re forced to seek positive change. That’s a far cry from the Republican bias in most political media, where people make a living off blind, calculated twisting of information. I got pissed off at your derogatory media ideological “artwork.” Get it? Think before you speak about people fighting invisible battles—that’s the real news. Platner isn’t perfect, but he’s putting in the sweat equity to produce healthy change, unlike the impaired fool in the White House. I hope you’ll take a moment to think about the impact of your words on people who are fighting these battles every day. At least you are more rational than Scott Jennings—you have hope in becoming more human.
