Benito ended his show with the same message he gave us in his Grammy speech: "The only thing more powerful than hate is love." I would like to add my thoughts to that, and the show in general as an artistic piece. I watched the entire Super Bowl with a small group of friends. Although I am not a fan of American football, I wanted to see the entire thing (go Sea Hawks), and the first thing I noticed were the ads for AI products. Of course, this is not new for the Super Bowl. And it is possible that there were more last year, but that is not the point, and it is not relevant to my thinking. I also noticed a contrast. Last year, and what we've gone through of this one, the Trump administration has used AI to express its hatred of minorities, make fascist propaganda, and oppress communities. Those who know me know that I am anti-AI. In general, I think it is a net-negative for humanity. I think it's the tool of the oppressor and it does us no good—as I have seen so many liberals do so—using it to "criticize" the Trump administration. AI has been instrumental for abusers as yet another way to exert their power over us. On the other hand, we have Benito's show. In a sea of AI ads, "Use it in your work. Make it write your emails. Make it plan your next house. Make it form an exercise plan. Etc.," even ads generated entirely by AI, Benito gave us a show built from his ideas and constructed by the hands of so many artists and technicians. The lyrics came from his discography, the music by real people, and he honored our history, culture and our urban music. I noticed a contrast. Despite the push for AI, from so many companies demanding that we use their products to speed up our production and kill our creativity, human creativity is still what calls to us, our ability to be genuine and express love for our neighbor and the desire for union. Therefore, I would like to add that more powerful than hate is love and our human creativity to express it. We are many. We have so much love for each other. We can't let the oppressor win.
