I will be posting once a month an original poem, haiku, ghazal, etc. Here is the first one. Tone and Meditation I heard you playing beneath the lamplight A small tune not well known I heard it from my window Bringing tone and meditation. The fog blurred you in its mist But your sound was clarity With notes to fill the space between Tone and meditation. The wind tried to steal the moment But you steadied its disruptive intent And testified--a quiet contemplation Of tone and meditation. I too looked for a song To carry through the night One without complication Of tone and meditation. Scott F. Madey, 2026
