Hi all, I don't really normally post on social media that much at all but with what is going on with Confuzzled I thought I would say something. I've been staffing at the Con since 2018 working on the Registration system known as Picnic. It has been difficult but well worth the challenge and I've massively enjoyed the time doing this and the team I was so lucky to be a part of. We as a team managed to turn the Reg from going down every year requiring sleepless nights to get it back up again. Implementing a lottery system and making sure it keeps going when people are desperately trying to get the lower or funny reg number. Heck we even managed to support one of the directors getting badge number 0 Sadly throughout the years as people have joined and left the state of the department was left abandoned by most of the Con when bigger leadership left. We took it upon ourselves to keep maintaining the system and work on a whole new system in the process. However the past two/three years since we where merged (Without even being informed of it) as part of IT has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had the pleasure of being on. From being ghosted, ignored and even lied to by what was meant to be my leader and finding out we where only kept around until something else replaced us is by no means ANY way to treat a person let alone someone who is giving free time away. I really hope the Con can improve and stop treating it's volunteers like faceless cogs in a machine. I am still planning on working for the Con if they will still have me around because I want to make sure attendees can still get the best experience possible Thanks for reading <3
