My Political position. I think that a lot of people have grown to not make the effort anymore to actually have conversations with eachother, because of apps like twitter and Blue-sky where your message length is capped to a certain length. If people would take the time to actually have discussions with eachother in a more respectful way, and not immediately resort to name calling and insulting eachother, we'd get MUCH more done and that would benefit EVERYONE! I believe; - that we are ALL the same "animals": humans! and things like skin colour, sexuality, gender perception and preference, Talent and intelligence levels are mere variations within the species. They should not MATTER to ANYONE, except the individual themselves! - that NOBODY has a right or jurisdiction to tell another human what they can or can't do! except when they choose to live in a certain social group and the group has rules (laws), of course. - that Someone's personal convictions, like religion, should NEVER be allowed to direct the behavior of others! except, again, when they decide to live in a social group and that group has certain rules/laws I agree basically COMPLETELY with a Meritocracy! And no segregation based on exterior properties or country of origin should EVER be considered when hiring someone! I ALSO believe, that people who deliver the same quantity AND quality of work, should be compensated financially equally! This -for me- extends also to sports; I think there shouldn't be separate sports for men and women! I think it would be much fairer to create separate "strength" classes, like you have in boxing with "weight" classes. that way, ANYONE can compete against ANYONE else, within their class. Although, eventually, the whole segregation within sports is unfair at the core, just to give EVERYONE a chance to become a winner in a group of comparable individuals. I believe that right now all countries inherently work to better their own country. This is tribe-thinking, bubble politics! It is what is holding us back as a species., we should embrace globalisation and finally evolve to use our planetary resources for the betterment not only for all mankind, but also for all living creatures! of course, this can ONLY work if ALL of humankind were to support this, and it would mean that many of us would have to give up any and all selfishness. I think this brings us back to the core problem, to which -I believe- All problems on this planet can be reduced to: greed! I, as a conclusion, therefor think that globalism is the answer to ALL our problems. but ONLY if EVERYONE adopts it at the same time and for 100%! I am not so naive to believe humanity is ready for that yet. Maybe what we need to achieve this, is some kind of global trauma or emergency that affects everyone equally and would FORCE us to make that mental transition. The changing climate Had the potential to do this, but too many people remain unconvinced of the severity and potential impact of the climate changing. Maybe something more severe is needed, like an extinction level event threatening ALL life? it that -of course- would be a one time chance to get it right...
