Beryl has peaked in intensity last night with peak gusts of 105 mph. However, the system has been expanding in size through the overnight period and occlusion has begun. Western Portions of the UK will see the occluded fronts bring some rainfall and gusty winds. Vestmannaeyjar has reported a sustained wind of 80.6 mph (However at 387 ft elevation). This best reflects peak wind gusts at the surface of 90 mph. However, these gusts may occur in more exposed locations. More sheltered areas will likely see 50-75 mph ranged gusts. With observed pressure from Vestmannaeyjar at 971 mb occurred a few hours ago. The pressure will continue to decrease and expected to bottom out in the 965-960 mb range for the centre of the Beryl.
