FED UP WITH TRUMP: “ About 2,500 people protested Trump in Syracuse ahead of his campaign rally for New York GOP gubernatorial nominee Bruce Blakeman. Demonstrators packed Clinton Square, less than a mile from the rally, holding signs reading “Impeach” and “This Orange isn’t welcome in Syracuse.” Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens joined the crowd and called for ICE to be dismantled, while state Sen. Rachel May noted that several local Republicans skipped Trump’s event, calling it “cowardice.” Around 1,500 protesters then marched toward the rally venue as Trump’s motorcade arrived, before police, some in riot gear, stopped them at barricades two blocks away. Attendees included veterans, retirees, and teachers who spoke about cuts to Social Security, Medicare, SNAP, and education, with one Army veteran saying Trump is “putting the Constitution in the shredder.” One organizer said the turnout gave people hope, adding that the administration “has made people feel small, alone.
