Imagine being so relaxed that you no longer worry about your emotions. You don’t wake up asking: “Am I joyful enough?” “Is my energy high enough?” “Did I lose my spiritual state?” And you no longer enter social situations asking: “Am I charismatic enough?” “Do people like me?” “Am I saying the right things?” You transcend the need to constantly manage yourself. That doesn’t mean you stop having emotions. It means you stop treating every emotion as a problem that needs to be fixed. You can feel joy, sadness, excitement, nervousness or peace without turning it into an evaluation of your spiritual progress. You stop trying to manufacture charisma too. You don’t force yourself to be funny. You don’t perform confidence. You don’t monitor the room to calculate whether your personality is working. You are completely relaxed. And the irony is hilarious: once you stop trying to feel joyful and appear charismatic, you naturally become filled with joy and charisma. Why? Because all the energy that was trapped inside self-monitoring becomes available for life. You are no longer watching yourself live. You are living. You are no longer checking whether you feel free. You are free. The joy becomes so natural that you don’t need to name it. The charisma becomes so effortless that you don’t need to measure it. And you don’t even care anymore. You are not collecting joy as proof of enlightenment. You are not collecting approval as proof of charisma. You have transcended the need to prove anything. You are simply relaxed, alive and fully present—too busy being to monitor how well you are being.
