JET LAG THE GAME S17 IS FINALLY HEREEEEE and i can make spoilery long posts here on bsky again. delightful. initial thoughts: YESSS I LOVE LOCATION-CENTRIC CHALLENGES they are such a good way to combine the tension of the game with the travel aspects of the show!! i think that's one of the reasons why i enjoyed s5 and s13 a lot, the location-centric challenges had them interacting with the place in interesting ways while also showing it off. and the bits we've gotten so far show so many lovely bits of taiwan! the bird park, the tofu steps, the cat village, the park with the pagodas and buddha, the hot springs... they all looked so lovely. c'mon y'all i don't have the money to explore the entirety of taiwan's rail system. mike has such labrador retriever energy and i do enjoy him as a guest! i was DREADING though when he decided that sam would get the jet lag questions right for the hot seat challenge like nooooo mike... sam always gets those wrong on the layover noooooo... but mad respect to him for 1) doing great on the bird challenge and 2) coming up with the badass team name "night herons"
