The mid latitude cyclone that moved into our area of monitoring. Has become a monster mid latitude cyclone. The system will peak in intensity through today before occlusion during late this evening into the early hours of Monday. The system will then begin to weaken and expand in size as it unravels. The system itself will eventually impact Iceland. Moderate to severe gales force gusts are possible with this system. Along with blizzard conditions will also be likely. But come Tuesday the system will be weakening at a faster rate. but still bringing impacts to Iceland. But the winds will be progressively easing. And this system will be a remnant low by late Tuesday into Wednesday. A recent ASCAT/OSCAT passes revealed the system was producing winds of 60 kts (70 mph) so the gusts have been set at 90 KTS (105 mph) INT ... 90 KTS ... 105 MPH
