Three years ago, I took the leap into the role of storyteller for the first time with an audience watching. During this time, I have gotten to be a storyteller for incredible series, both long and short, and one-shots. I have shared tables with so many talented players and gotten to collaborate on emotional and powerful story moments. And as of today, I am officially stepping back for the foreseeable future. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make but due to the diagnoses I have received while in intensive treatment, remaining intensive treatment, and the need to prioritize my mental health, storytelling is not something that can be a part of my life right now. I can’t say what the future holds but I do not want to make any promises that I cannot deliver on. I will still be a part of the TTRPG community as a player and I am excited to reconnect with the characters I have in ongoing games and the players and storytellers at those tables. I am also looking forward to future characters I get to portray and tables I will get to share. While my role in the TTRPG community is changing, this space has been incredibly important to me and I look forward to telling stories together and making more memories in the coming year.
