Trumps lies, Republican lies, and the state of the union. The problem with making promises is people come to rely on the outcome you guaranteed. Outcomes like having none of our children die in a useless, unwinnable war with a third-rate nation who makes us look like fools on a daily basis, unaffordable healthcare for our families, unaffordable housing, unaffordable gas, electricity, and gas, rampant inflation, and the end of subsidies that keep Medicare affordable for our seniors. When you combine this with the hatred the rest of the world has developed for America – hatred, where once our greatest allies appreciated and respected for what we did for the world – but now only have contempt because they know they can never again trust us again because at any moment another tyrant might rise who uses the resources of the supposedly most powerful nation in the world, not for peace or goodness, but rather to enrich himself, his family, and members of the Republican congress. Why we believed him in the first place is a bitter mystery. He had a well-earned reputation for being a cheat, a con man, and most of all, a complete failure in business. He bankrupted casinos, for god’s sake! The only thing keeping him afloat was his under the table association with a host of shady organizations with even shadier ties to Putin’s Russian government. These are the people who are asking for your vote in November. Will they suddenly reverse the economic turmoil they released, or will it be more of the same?
