~ Emanant law three Greet with eyes that are open With one full shared breath ~ Every system of ethics ever devised has eventually discovered the same problem. You can legislate behavior. You can structure incentives. You can build institutions, enforce compliance, reward generosity, and punish transgression. And still, somehow, people find ways to fulfill the letter of every requirement while remaining fundamentally absent from one another. The third emanant law was written for that absence. Not the absence of the void — that sacred, creative, humming absence at the heart of Apotheism. The other kind. The absence that happens when two people occupy the same space and neither one genuinely arrives. The eyes that are present but not open. The conversation that happens between two people who are each waiting, behind their own glass, for it to be over. This is perhaps the most widespread form of human poverty on earth. And it costs nothing to address. It requires no redistribution, no institution, no daily scheduling. It requires only the decision, renewed at every encounter, to actually show up for the person in front of you. Eyes that are open means the assessment has already happened before you arrive — and the conclusion was reached in advance. This person is an expression of the same creative source I am. Nothing they can do in this encounter will make that less true. I will receive them accordingly. One full shared breath is the physical anchor for that intention. It is impossible to share a breath with someone and remain entirely behind glass. The body knows something the mind resists — that the boundary between you is temporary, permeable, and ultimately fictional. The first divine law says all is one. ~ This observation was made with the assistance of claude.ai. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To express your gratitude, visit: https://tinyurl.com/andy-rukes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
