I have seen Christians deliver incredible sermons on Sunday. They speak beautifully about love. They speak about forgiveness. They speak about peace, patience, humility, and faith. Then they go home to chaos. They are cruel to their spouse. They terrify their children. They cannot control their anger. They hold grudges for years. Their closest relationships are filled with resentment, manipulation, judgment, and emotional instability. What the heck is that? Christianity is not a Sunday performance. It is not knowing the right Bible verses. It is not sounding spiritual in front of an audience. It is not declaring yourself saved while everyone closest to you suffers from the person you remain. Christianity is supposed to transform you. Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruit. The fruit is not your sermon. The fruit is how you treat your family when nobody is watching. The fruit is how you respond when you are criticized. The fruit is whether your children feel safe around you. The fruit is whether you can forgive. The fruit is whether your presence brings peace or chaos. The fruit is whether your faith has actually changed your character. Jesus called people toward perfection—not fake flawlessness, but complete love, integrity, and spiritual maturity. If your theology never reaches your nervous system, your marriage, your parenting, your emotions, and your daily behavior, it has not completed its work. Stop performing Christianity. Become it.
