At some point, America is going to have to stop pretending Trump just stumbled into the darkest corners of the elite world by accident. The man didn’t trip over a sidewalk crack and land in a social circle filled with predators, con men, and walking red flags—he chose that world. He thrived in it. He bragged about it. Trump and Epstein weren’t strangers passing on a sidewalk. They were fixtures of the same grotesque carnival of wealth, ego, and moral erosion. Trump was literally quoted calling Epstein a “terrific guy” who “likes them young.” That alone should’ve been enough to send people running. Instead, MAGA heard that and said, “Yeah, but her emails.” And that’s the real horror here: the movement didn’t just ignore the darkness surrounding Trump—they embraced it. They treat every old photo, every quote, every documented connection as if it’s some liberal Photoshop experiment, rather than the receipts of a man who spent decades orbiting shady figures like it was a gravitational instinct. You can practically hear the cognitive dissonance grinding in their heads as they try to rationalize why their moral crusader kept such close company with someone like Epstein. “It’s a coincidence!” “He didn’t know anything!” “It’s all fake!” Sure. And a haunted house is just an architectural choice. At this point, MAGA isn’t defending a politician—they’re defending a legacy of darkness they’ve tied themselves to. The longer they cling to him, the deeper they sink into it, pretending the rot is perfume and the smoke is incense. And when the last excuse burns out, when the last denial collapses, they’ll have to face the thing they’ve been desperately avoiding: You can’t follow a man who spent decades surrounded by darkness —and still call yourself the light.
