It’s okay to be happy—but charisma requires another level of focus and energy. Happiness is what you feel inside. Charisma is what you transmit to everyone around you. Before you enter a room, ask yourself: Am I present? Am I bringing energy? Am I listening, engaging, smiling, and making people feel something? Don’t assume that being in a good mood automatically makes you charismatic. Charisma is intentional. You have to direct your energy outward and connect with people. Don’t merely feel good. Bring people into that feeling.
