My message to the Chairman of the DNC. Chairman Martin, On April 7th, the DNC proudly announced the launch of a new "war room", an initiative designed to sharpen party messaging and bolster rapid response capabilities, as Democrats seek new strategies to counter President Trump and the harmful direction of his administration. This announcement was met with hope, but since then, for many of us on the ground, that hope has dimmed. We, the People, are still waiting to see the results of that promise. On the front lines of activism and advocacy, it is organizations like Indivisible and 50501 that seem to carry the burden of visibility and grassroots engagement. Where is the presence of the Democratic Party we were promised? Where is the strong, clear, persistent voice that is supposed to be fighting on behalf of the American people? We continue to stand united in opposition to the current administration and its destructive policies. We applaud the tireless efforts of courageous leaders such as Cory Booker, Al Green, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Bernie Sanders, leaders who consistently speak truth to power and refuse to sit silently on the sidelines. But we ask: Where are the others? Where is the full force of Democratic leadership when we need it most? So many of us are struggling, financially, emotionally, and politically. We need a Democratic Party that not only recognizes our pain but actively works to alleviate it. Mr. Chairman, you made a commitment to rebuild the party from the ground up, to focus on infrastructure, expand outreach across every state and U.S. territory, and reach into all 3,244 counties with a message of hope, equity, and justice. You spoke of a post-election review and a renewed offensive against Trump’s policies. And yet, from where we stand, those promises remain largely unfulfilled. Instead of leadership, we receive endless fundraising emails, communications that rarely offer anything concrete beyond another request for money. But Mr. Chairman, we cannot give what we do not have. Many of us are scraping together meals, working multiple jobs, and still falling behind. We do not need more emails asking for donations. We need a movement we can see, hear, and believe in. We need leadership that walks with us, speaks to us, and shows up for us. We are not asking for perfection. We are asking for your presence. We are asking you and all Democratic leaders to be louder, bolder, and braver. Come meet with real people. Hear our stories. Let us see you, not just during campaign season, but every season. We noticed you have only ten followers. If that’s accurate, it tells us something deeply troubling about the lack of communication and engagement from the top. Speak to us more often, reach out with more than appeals for money, and you will find not just followers, but partners, allies, and voters ready to stand with you. We speak this truth not out of anger, but out of love, for our country, for our communities, and for a party that we still believe can be a force for good. Please, do not let this moment slip away. With deep respect and concern, David and Joan Piekarczyk ================================================ Will you join me and your message to the Chairman? Let him hear from real people. Express how you feel. Maybe it will make a difference. https://www.facebook.com/ken.martin.184
