My lil grey neighborhood cat pal hasn’t been here for 16 days. I know she would be here if she had a choice. I’ve been asking around about her, and today I might have gotten an explanation: People have been seeing coyotes in the neighborhood later at night, around 11 PM, one or two or even three together and even in the daytime. Maybe the whole neighborhood has been warned to keep pets inside. I don’t use NextDoor so maybe I missed the memo. I did see one huge coyote in my backyard a few months ago. He was there & then gone, in a blink. I just happened to look outside and saw him. Maybe, her family is sensibly keeping her inside. I haven’t seen any other cats around here, either. Better safe than sorry. Sigh. 😿
