Babasaheb returned to Bombay. As soon as he reached home, he saw that everyone was worried about Ramabai. He sat near her and placed his hand on her forehead. As soon as he touched her hand, Ramabai felt that her beloved husband was sitting near her in her last moments. She looked at Babasaheb with her weak eyes and said, "Look, taking care of my seven crore untouchable children and serving them is your vow. Never deviate from this path. Make sure to give them respect and honour." While fulfilling these words, Ramabai, who was a devoted wife with pure conduct, a single-minded, natural sacrificer, who sacrificed everything for the happiness of her husband and who made her Saheb Bhimrao the 'Babasaheb' of the people, passed away forever with the sunset on 27 May 1935 at Rajgriha Dadar Bombay. Babasaheb fainted for a while. His only regret was that he could not give her any kind of happiness in his entire life. The entire house was filled with darkness because the light of loyalty and true faith had been extinguished. Because seeing the lifeless body, his tears did not stop flowing. He wept bitterly like a child. Both Yashwantrao and Mukundrao fainted while crying. Mother's blessing hand had been lifted from his head. Lakshmi Bhabhi's weeping knew no bounds. Babasaheb thought that when he had become capable of giving him all the worldly happiness, she left him in the lurch. After Ramabai's death, Babasaheb remained locked in his room. He kept weeping remembering his beloved Ramu. He kept wailing like a child. Now he started remembering his devoted wife's services and her deep love from time to time. The news of mother Ramabai's tragic untimely death spread like wildfire throughout Bombay. Thousands of people gathered to share Babasaheb's great grief. We have been hearing that no one can share someone's sorrow. Only sympathy can heal. Everyone has a companion in happiness. Although Babasaheb had thousands and lakhs of devotees with him, still he was completely alone. His life partner had left him forever. While shouldering the bier of the mortal remains of Mata Ramabai, Babasaheb cried so loudly that the hearts of thousands of simple spectators were shaken. Tears were flowing from everyone's eyes. Babasaheb's heart was so sad that he became a recluse in life. He left home and became a sanyasi. Seeing Babasaheb as a sanyasi, all the leaders, workers and followers got scared. Now who will show him the right path? Will the downtrodden and miserable society which Babasaheb had raised up with his severe penance, sink into darkness again? In this dilemma, everyone prayed to Babasaheb. They requested him not to become a sanyasi. Keep guiding this oppressed, exploited and unhappy society. Babasaheb heard everyone's prayers and accepted them. He renounced sanyaas. Taking off his saffron clothes, he again became the boatman of our boat. He considered adopting the path of public welfare to be better than sanyaas.
