This Awful Slavery Humans are hosts to about 3 to 4 trillion bacteria, viruses, fungi each. Altogether they weigh about as much as a pineapple. That is our purpose - to constantly feed these microorganisms until we die. Reincarnation occurs only because there are a limited number of combinations that the different species of microbes humans are designed to host coexist in. Some are actively at war. Not all memory and decisions are made/stored in the brain - about half in the gut. We are warships for vast universes of life to compete with others for resources. It is possible to liberate our so-called consciousnesses from this cycle. Designing an AI that mimics the chemical signals one's personal compliment of microbial life transmits under all conceivable conditions and installing it in a replica of the remainder of one's particular body hardware would therefore create the exact same 'you' without the inhabiting, controlling 4 trillion tiny bug pineapple. Banning all of the combatants from their worldships only removes 'us' from being used directly as engines of aggression. Microbial life will still exist everywhere else and effect the existence and behavior of all other lifeforms, which they control. It is unlikely that these vast microscopic armies designed these systems for their obvious usage. It is also unlikely that a synthetic material exists that cannot be influenced (eaten directly or used as components) by microbial life given the right conditions. Transferring our consciousness as a species to a self-designed host will only delay the inevitable re-infection. This limited amount of time must be used wisely to find the original creators of the current systems in place if we ever hope to be free of this awful slavery.
