The low is intensifying markedly, and this is causing great concern. However, the low will traverse Portugal and Spain fairly quickly and weaken fairly quickly once over Spain due to the higher terrain. The system may emerge over the Mediterranean as a remnant low. However, the low will not regenerate over the Mediterranean it will eventually dissipate. The near term. Significant snowfall is expected across the higher terrain of Spain and Portugal effect road networks this will also be accompanied by strong gusty winds likely resulting in blizzard conditions. This will lead to extremely dangerous traveling conditions. In which traveling should be avoided. Lower levels flooding, damaging wind gusts, power outages, tree damage and debris. Is expected. Coastal flooding is also expected. The is a danger to life and property for all areas. Preparations must be completed if not they must be rushed to completion as there is very little time before the storm arrives and make conditions far to dangerous to ensure they are completed. Ensure all outdoor objects are tied down well or moved inside if possible. Gusts in some exposed areas may push 90-105 mph. Mainly gusts are expected to reach hurricane forced in the range of 75-85 mph. However, even the lower end of this hurricane forced wind estimated are more than enough to cause severe issues. Should flooding on roadways be encountered DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO THROUGH. TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN! Coastal areas must also be avoided during this system and being near the coast MUST BE AVOIDED. The conditions the system is expected to bring for areas of greatest concern are in AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION! Snow effected areas are also in an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation as power outages and gusty winds may cause trees to fall along with travel conditions becoming extremely dangerous due to likely and possible blizzard conditions. Once in Spain the system will be weakening rapidly due to the higher terrain. However strong gusty winds, heavy rainfall that will cause a risk of significant flooding is expected and the significant flooding risk is possible. This will create an extremely dangerous situation here. Some gusts may reach hurricane force over higher ground and result in some structural damage and even power outages.
