I really wish media would stop creating this narrative about Lando Norris not having a “killer instinct” It seems every pundit has jumped on the bandwagon to make “this a thing” “He’s in the championship winning car” and he can’t do anything about it “He doesn’t have the killer instinct of Oscar” For me, there are 2 parts to this dialogue How Lando processes the situation 🌊 I think it is clear that Lando is very hard on himself 🌊 I am guessing he expects more from himself than anyone else does 🌊 Yes, McLaren or Lando can hire in performance coaches, but I truly believe we need to ask Lando first - what he WANTS 🌊 Everything should dovetail from that answer and fnd the best solution for Lando that’s decided BY Lando and no one else Lando as a person 🌊 At a time when every athlete is now media trained, it’s actually nice to have someone like Lando who actually speaks his mind 🌊 We might interpret that as saying “too much” or something else, but the fact is, we are getting an unfiltered view into Lando 🌊 And most fans of professional sports are clamoring to get more unfiltered answers from their favorite stars Bottom line is that I hope we all support Lando because he’s Lando, and not because of expectations that we might be placing on him
