He knew something was up, as he always did with Valerie. Unfortunately, he was preoccupied with some Shit, and couldn't check in on her himself, so he called up Viktor and asked if he could check in on her. Despite the fact he & V were currently in one of their very "off" moments (due to Valerie picking a fight ofc) Viktor agreed. He rang her on the holo first, to give her a heads up, but she didn't answer - it just kept ringing. Even during their worst fights, she'd still pick up, even if it was to tell him to ghost off. (Or she'd instantly reject the call if she was being extremely Pissed, but pick up on the second call in case it WAS important.) So Viktor closed the clinic early, let Misty know to tell Jackie and quickly made his way over to h10 & Valerie's apartment, quickly finding her passed out in the running shower, burning up & delusional with a fever. (She kept talking about Sylvie & Leon, mistaking him for Leon at one point, and crying.) Thankfully, due to being a netrunner with a full set up - Vik was able to plunge her into an ice bath to get her fever down before it fried her systems She was ... extremely embarrassed, and apologetic. And, in an extremely rare moment with him back then - was actually openly vulnerable with him once she came too, and was in bed/dried off, thanking him for coming to check on her despite the fact they hadn't really been 'speaking.' because she had tried, once again, to push him away. She didn't even get upset or push back when he got admonished her for not asking for help, just said she hadn't meant too and apologized again for worrying him.(She said she went to take a shower because she felt gross/sick/sticky and well, a shower sounded good. But she hadn't realized just HOW sick she was until suddenly she was waking up in her ice bath with him looking at her, terrified.) He winds up staying with her, after she asks him too, and taking care of her. (And then she pretends she was Not Vulnerable At All with him when she's better.) Anyway. Rarely gets sick, because she has the immune system of a gutter rat. But when she does, hoo boy.
