HOW TO BE BRILLIANT Daily Astrology Wed 2nd Sept On last week's lunar eclipse, the Sun and Moon were exactly square to Uranus, which added to its catalytic effect. The Sun in Virgo is still squaring Uranus. Uranus is the unexpected, he shakes us out of our comfort zone, not entirely unlike an eclipse. So whatever has been catalysed in recent days, stay open to it, let it unfold. Let Uranus do his ongoing work. There may be ways you don't want to change, and that can be uncomfortable. And there may be welcome developments and inspirations in ongoing projects. Uranus and the Sun are both in Mercury-ruled signs, so watch that it doesn't become too cerebral. Ground yourself in the natural world: Virgo is analytical, but also has Ceres, a nature goddess, within her stars. Ground yourself too in being of service and being practical, which are also attributes of Virgo. Virgo is not a noisy sign, it quietly gets on with. It is organised, so it does not like the disruptive effects of Uranus. On the other hand, it is a mutable sign, so it easily adapts. There can be brilliance in this combination: original ideas that are also practical. So go for it in the few days that are left of this transit. Everyone has their own genius, their own particular way of seeing the world, a native intelligence that is not the same as IQ: a high IQ is a gift, not something you have earned, and thinking you are smart can get in the way of this direct seeing. That is the tricksiness of Uranus in Gemini. If you want to be original, ignore what everyone else says, however authoritative, and go back to first principles and your own experience. That is the difficult bit, which few people can do. And then make your own observations and draw your own conclusions.
