Mij tegenvallend, die Magalhäes van Lav Diaz uit 2025 die nu als een ‘Previously unreleased’ in een deel van de NL filmhuizen draait. Een te kleine productie voor zo’n groot verhaal. Vergelijkingen met Herzog’s Aguirre en het wringende Argentijnse ZAMA uit 2017 dringen zich op, maar het komt niet in de buurt.
