Daily thoughts #18 Bant is no longer my frontrunner. If fact, I think I am off Bant. Sometines in tournament preparation you have this set of testing that heavily changes your outlook on what to play. Today was one of the days. We played Bant vs Lessons (postboard only). I assumed the matchup was bad game 1 for Bant, but postboard we could transform our deck and lean into the power of grave hate, Cavern of Souls + Wistfulness. I assumed it would be even or close to even. Nope, Lessons just thrashed it anyway. Combinded with Lessons being the most played deck in RC Portland, I don't think Bant is on the table anymore. Maybe if Lessons crash and burned, I'd still consider it, but I don't expect that. So what's left? Well, Lessons for one. Reanimator is still a possibility. I am going to RCQ tomorrow to play some IRL Magic, and I will be playing Reanimator. After that, we shall see what the winrates are in Portland. Maybe audible to some broken deck from the RC. If I were to submit right now, it would just be Lessons.
