I’ve reached the point where I actually get a sick pleasure out of facing my fears. Why? Because I’ve experienced the rewards of courage so many times that I’ve trained my brain to associate fear with opportunity. Most people feel fear and want to run away. I feel fear and get excited. Because I know what’s waiting on the other side. Growth. Freedom. Confidence. New experiences. A bigger life. I’ve conditioned myself to LOVE opportunities to demonstrate courage. Now, whenever I encounter something that scares me, instead of looking for an escape, I look for my opportunity. I don’t just tolerate fear anymore. I get excited to face it. Not because every risk is worth taking, but because I’ve learned how rewarding it is to act courageously when something truly matters to me. Fear used to be my barrier. Now it’s my invitation.
