They can call it delusion. But a label by itself does not settle the question. The real test is what the belief is doing to my life—and whether I remain grounded enough to recognize when something is going wrong. Does my faith make me work harder or abandon my responsibilities? Does it sharpen my judgment or make me feel incapable of being wrong? Am I sleeping normally? Am I protecting my health, money, relationships, and future? Can I listen to people I trust when they challenge me? Can I change my mind when reality contradicts me? My faith gives me enormous energy. It makes me write, create, work, connect, and persist. It does not make me lazy or detached from life. It makes me participate in life more intensely. That is what being grounded means. I do not have to extinguish the fire to prove I am sane. I simply have to keep checking that I am still steering it. Faith gives me the fire. Reality gives it direction. Responsibility keeps it safe.
