Week 36 - Dictatorial Advances The dictatorial hold Trump has over this country advanced several steps this week. Heavy handed attempts to bring corporations under sway through threats of litigation. Demands that the DOJ lock up anyone he deems as a foe - even going so far as to charge members of the previous administration. The Supreme Court continues to pave the way by handing over Congressional powers to the Executive branch. And of course, Trump continues to rage at his old nemesis Jimmy Kimmel. Sunday 9/21/2025 - Trump administration to link Tylenol use to risk of autism. Remember how I mentioned they are going to open up companies to class action lawsuits with this? Let’s hear it for the class action lawsuit of ‘Everyone With Autism vs Johnson & Johnson’ and then the libel case of ‘Johnson & Johnson vs United States’! At least they didn’t say it was vaccines. I still think this is being done to strong arm big pharma to kowtow to the whims of this administration. Sunday 9/21/2025 - Trump Makes Bonkers Demand for Bondi to Lock Up His Enemies - The president sent a rambling message to his attorney general on a public forum. Ugh, the media complicitness in this by calling it ‘bonkers’. It’s the equivalent of Nixon demanding his AG break into Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office on live television. This shit should end a presidency. It’s naked authoritarianism. Sunday 9/21/2025 - Oklahoma Republicans propose all state colleges must have Charlie Kirk statue. Ahh, yes, a statue of a person who famously hated college education and college professors - and by statue I mean public urinal. Sunday 9/21/2025 - US farmers face 'financial calamity' without extra aid soon, Republican lawmakers say. Farmers already received a $23 billion dollar bailout under the first Trump administration. They wanted to own the libs, but it looks like somebody else gets to own their farms. Sunday 9/21/2025 - ICE Plans To Evacuate Chicago-Area Facility Following Immigration Protests. Large sustained protests work. It’s remarkable how fast ICE melts away when it’s not being backed up by the local police. Did it have a big dollar sign on it too? Monday 9/22/2025 - Trump Shits All Over Message of Charlie Kirk’s Widow at His Memorial. You could drop the word ‘message’ from this headline and I’d still believe it. What can I say? Trump’s a shitty guy. The man with the meirdas touch. Ol’ Charlie boy is only as good as power grab after his death. Also Trump showing up to a funeral to make it all about himself is peak narcissist behavior. Tuesday 9/23/2025 - The Supreme Court Just Knocked Down One of the Final Guardrails Against Dictatorship. The ruling in the Trump v. Slaughter case allows Trump to fire Congressionally appointed commissioners. A massive consolidation of power from Congress to the Executive branch. Tuesday 9/23/2025 - Trump Is Running “the Most Corrupt Administration in U.S. History”. This is a pretty high bar to top, given his first administration. Wednesday 9/24/2025 - Fox News' Jesse Watters Calls to 'Bomb' U.N., or 'Maybe Gas It' After Broken Escalator and Teleprompter During Trump's Visit. An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. Calls to bomb or gas anyone are reckless and dangerous rhetoric especially from a media figure. Also, why specifically gassing them, hrm? Wednesday 9/24/2025 - Trump Threatens Jimmy Kimmel—Again—and Destroys MAGA’s Entire Defense. One thing I love more than watching Trump have to walk up stairs…Trump opening himself up to lawsuits. Thursday 9/25/2025 - House Democrat introduces articles of impeachment against RFK Jr. Could have saved yourselves this step by not-fucking-confirming him. Thursday 9/25/2025 - Hegseth Ordering Meeting With Hundreds Of Generals Reportedly Sparks Urgency: 'People Are Very Concerned'. If you are part of a sleeper cell waiting for your time to decapitate the head of the US’s military…uhhh…now is your time. Hegseth is calling for an unprecedented meeting of all 800+ Generals and Admirals across all armed forces in Virginia. For obvious security reasons, never before have all commanders been in one place at one time for what I’m guessing could have been an email. Probably a great time to remind folks that the Comey memo may have given the 2016 election to Trump. Authoritarians always eat their own eventually. Friday 9/26/2025 - Colombian President Compares Trump to Hitler in Front of Entire U.N. Here’s the quote: “The old societies of Europe are collapsing and the United States is applauding its new Hitler. Today, the same thing is being done as Hitler did, building concentration camps for migrants, and it’s stated that migrants are of an inferior race, and they blame them just like Hitler blamed the Jews.
