I’ve seriously considered the risks of AI, and I still believe its potential benefits dramatically outweigh them. AI can expand access to education, healthcare, creativity, opportunity, and knowledge on a scale we’ve never seen before. Yes, there are real risks, and we should address them intelligently. But fear shouldn’t blind us to the much larger possibility: AI is far more likely to improve human life than destroy it. Manage the risks. Keep humans accountable. But don’t let fear stop progress.
