How Long? How long are we, the People, going to tolerate this administration’s blatant disregard for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the very principles upon which this country was founded? How long until there are real consequences for the criminal actions being carried out in plain sight? When will accountability finally return to the highest offices of power? It’s been over two weeks since “SignalGate” — a catastrophic breach that exposed our military personnel to unnecessary and preventable danger. Yet, no one has resigned. No one has been fired. Not a single apology has been issued. Just silence and spin. President Trump was ordered by a federal judge to return a legal immigrant, who was illegally taken, from an El Salvadoran prison — a gross violation of international law and basic human rights. Instead of obeying the court, the administration doubled down. Republican allies launched an outrageous attempt to impeach the judge who dared to question Trump's authority. Obstruction of justice now seems to be the norm, not the exception. Meanwhile, on our own soil, peaceful student protesters are being targeted, seized by unidentified, black-masked agents for speaking out against the war in Gaza. These are young voices exercising their constitutional right to dissent — now being treated as criminals for standing up to injustice. And what of Elon Musk? Appointed to no public office, accountable to no one, yet wielding state-like power. He is reportedly collecting personal data on American citizens with no oversight, no investigation, no transparency. Why isn’t Congress investigating him? Where are the hearings? Where is the outrage? We are watching the foundations of justice erode beneath our feet. The rule of law is being replaced with rule by fear, by silence, by unchecked power. And yet, what are we, the People, doing? We were taught that in this country, no one is above the law. That truth matters. That justice prevails. But that only remains true if we make it so. So I ask again: How long are we going to wait? How long? How long until we reclaim our voice in Congress, our power, our democracy? How LONG?
