@taylorlorenz.bsky.social just read your article re: right wing creators i identified with the "they don't take these things seriously. they don't see it as political, they think it's celebrity gossip" and i'm still trying to figure out how we can get out of this online discussion leveraging pop culture to indirectly tie into political ideologies today its blake vs baldoni, tomorrow it will be something else for these creators keeping the attention of viewers and luring in new viewers is 'smart' tactically and there's no arguing that. and i also believe dems need to get better than just 'hiring' celebs to attend political events, and then do nothing else. it's hard to keep the celeb 'fans' along for the ride, whereas the right wing creators are engaging with them almost daily it seems. one thing is clear (putting aside ideology) which is that there is a huge opportunity for any digital agency that wants to get business from democrats leveraging influencers to drive political discussions online. i hope you can get in front of democratic leadership NOW. i believe they would benefit greatly from your knowledge of journalism, and your expertise in the online space. finally, have you considered shifting from substack to ghost? i'm not a big fan of substack given their stance on keeping neo-nazis on the platform. i don't subscribe to writers on there as a result, but will on ghost as i do with several writers there.
