He also publicly praised the 2016 mass shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando. His extreme hate speech has led him to be banned from entering multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Jamaica, and Botswana. Dillon Awes, Stedfast Baptist Church (Watauga, Texas: In a June 2022 sermon titled "Why We Won't Shut Up," Awes stated that every homosexual in the United States should be charged with a crime, sentenced to death, "lined up against the wall and shot in the back of the head."- The sermon sparked large-scale local protests, and the church was formally designated an anti-LGBTQ+ hate group. Jimenez Church, Verity Baptist Church (Sacramento, California. Hours after the 2016 Orlando nightclub massacre, Jimenez delivered a sermon stating that the city was now "safer" because the victims had died. He added, "If we lived in a righteous government, they should round them all up and put them up against a firing wall and blow their brains out." Speaking Thursday at the American Airlines Center, the megachurch pastor said that while he disagrees that “all Republicans are saints,” he considered the Democratic Party to be “advocates for evil.” “There is a difference between falling into sin and being an advocate for sin,” Jeffress declared. “The Democrat Party advocates for evil; they are advocates for sin, and we need to call it that way.” “For we know deep down that God has given every leader, including our great President Donald Trump — He’s given Donald Trump not just the right, but the responsibility to protect our nation from evildoers, whether they come from without or within our own country.” Jeffress then turned his focus on Talarico, who is running against Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for a seat in the U.S. Senate representing the Lone Star State. “James Talarico believes there is a spectrum of genders, but in Matthew 19, Jesus said there are only two genders, ‘male and female,’” Jeffress said. “James Talarico believes that all religions are equally valid and are simply different truths or different paths up the same mountain of truth.” “But Jesus Christ disagrees with James Talarico.
