There are so many things about this administration that I despise, but between now and the midterms, I’m going to focus on ONE: the midterm elections. And yes, I said IF we have midterm elections. That is a BIG IF, and I don’t believe we should take our country for granted. We have an enemy within. You know it, and I know it. But if we do get that opportunity, we had better be ready. We need to TAKE BACK BOTH THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE. One is NOT enough. We need to remember what is at stake, and when the time comes, we need to SHOW UP. Because freedom isn't something we get to take for granted. It isn't guaranteed simply because it has always been there. It requires people willing to defend it. People willing to participate. People willing to stand up and say: ENOUGH. So what can you do? Get informed. Talk to your family and friends. Register people to vote. Volunteer. Support candidates who share your values. Donate if you can. If you know elderly or disabled people who need a ride to the polls, help them. And most importantly, SHOW UP AND VOTE. Don’t sit back and assume someone else will do it. The stakes are too high. One chamber is not enough. We need BOTH.
