It's not just that they're blaming the crash on DEI, it's what they hope to accompish by doing so. How do they want their base to react? Their statement is essentially saying "who killed your loved ones and fellow Americans? Black people. Latino people. Asian people. Indiginous People. All so called people of color. If only we could do something about them..." What they're saying every time they blame DEI, every time they mention DEI, is that anybody who's not white must be stopped before they do even more damage and more people die. What the're saying is "It's them or us." Now, DEI covers a lot more than racial and ethnic identities - specifically gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, class, and religion. But this doesn't seem to be about those. This is about blaming non-white people so that white supremacists can maybe "handle the problem." Blaming DEI is a giant burning cross.
