Note: The only Crows are Kaz, Jesper, Wylan and later Nina (maybe Matthais) and Mira. As the story progresses I'll add to this. AU version: Kaz had never met Inej in this timeline/version and therefore it's just been him and Jesper running the Crow Club for years. Jesper had quickly become one of Kaz’s most trusted companions and has known of his ‘secret’ of being a Grisha. It's Kaz and he always has a way of finding things out one way or another; but as he mentioned to Jesper before, because he never misses when he shoots and the fact that he's fixed his cane on a few occasions when he's needed a Fabrikator to do the work. Especially after using it for street tussles he's gotten himself into or when people try to quite literally get the jump on him when he's out in the streets and it gets damaged. However Kaz has told Jesper that he does not wish to exploit him for his little secret and that's just between them. Jesper felt more at ease with knowing that he meant it. Just as Kaz has his own secrets, namely his extreme phobia of being touched to name one. Jesper never understood why, but he wasn't one to question his boss on the matter. No one knew why he didn't enjoy being touched, not even Wylan. How Kaz met Mira: A two man job gone astray. One of Kaz's Crow Club men came up to him and Jesper one evening when the two of them were eating to let him know of a job that he heard of while standing at the door. This piqued Kaz’s interest and asked the guy to find out more if possible and to return back to him if he knew anything more. Not much longer after his guy came back with a little bit more information, Kaz managed to hurriedly snag himself a needed Heartrender from the White Rose and brought her to the gates of Dreesen’s estate. Bargaining with the man on watch to let them in before the set midnight time. After speaking with the mercher about the job that he had up for grabs, Kaz agreed to take the job to capture the Sun Summoner for Dreesen in turn took the opportunity away from his biggest rival in the city Pekka Rollins. Once Pekka found out he was the one who grabbed the job from right out of his hands, he wasn't too thrilled. He'd even snuck his way into the Crow Club and into Kaz's office where he threatened to kill him if he didn't step away from the job. It didn't work and he and Jesper went on ahead to get it done, or attempted to. One million kruge split between them both was an opportunity Kaz just couldn't pass up. They just needed to find a specific person that could get them through The Fold and back. Kaz and Jesper (mainly Kaz since he has more to lose) got their affairs sorted out and went on ahead. However things didn't go as planned.. Kaz and Jesper managed to get through The Fold unscathed and found their way into the Little Palace after some strategic planning and maneuvering on Kaz’s part. However days prior Kaz found out what Arken, their guy that had got them though and who also made runs to and from The Fold many times to save Grisha, was about and his whole role in agreeing to this job. During their little adventure Kaz had worked out that Arken wanted to kill the Sun Summoner for General Zlatan since she was now a threat. Kaz later revealed that to Jesper when they ended up in an unlikely place together. After their failed attempt to escort Alina to her ‘dinner’, The Darkling had intercepted and decided to take her instead where the two went off to one of his rooms. As Kaz was quickly thinking of another plan, Jesper noticed that two Inferni were watching them both with suspicion and then soon gave chase to them. After he and Jesper split up, they found themselves meeting up in a restricted area of the grounds, one that neither of them recalled on the map they had memorized. Jesper had found a hidden door that was locked and used his abilities to unseal it and Kaz picked the locks on the door. He's a skilled lockpick after all. It was there that they surprisingly came across Mira, a chained up Grisha whom they befriended surprisingly easily. After they all made their introductions and talked for a bit, Kaz started to feel oddly sorry for her and noticed her in chains, using his lockpicking skills he managed to free her. He didn't fully understand why he felt compelled to do such a thing but perhaps it was the fact that he hated anyone being treated like a captive, in her case she literally was one, or subservient. Once he freed her and they talked more, Kaz suggested that she come back to Ketterdam with Jesper and him, it was a safer option and it gave her much needed distance between her and The Darkling. During their attempt to escape again, they were once again being chased down by the Inferni twins and Mira had helped slow them until Kaz was able to find a way out. It was when he did when Baghra had come out of the shadows to help them. At first he wasn't sure about her but when she took the Inferni out with The Darkling's power, he knew that she really did intend on having them leave here without much notice. However when Baghra told him to take care of Mira because she’s very special and gave him a particular look, it confused Kaz. Because what did she mean and why did she give him a knowing look? Little did Kaz or Jesper know, Mira was indeed a special Grisha and that he had his own secret that would surprise even him, but it would be beneficial to her. However, he was always unaware of it due to his own discomfort and trauma. Relationship: Although it hasn't been written yet, Kaz and Mira do end up becoming a couple. She helps him cope with things and eventually he is able to open up about his traumatic experience and about his brother, which she helps him with. Kaz will certainly raise hell for her once they develop further. The two are already starting to develop an unexplainable bond, due to the need to be near one another and his desire to comfort her even though he's fighting through his PTSD about it. He's also really confused as to why he's feeling and behaving like this as this is normally not like him. Jesper is slowly starting to notice these as well and is finding it unexplainable himself.
