I DO NOT FOLLOW BACK everyone. I am especially not fond of sports only, horror and/or gore, adult posts, follow farmers (see link 👇,) anyone who does not engage (talk with folks - if it's all just what you are selling, I am not buying.) Many of those folks I post to and say I will not be Following Back and that they should unfollow me. My redline is Mental Health Bigots. 8/25 To clarify: Mental health bigot - a person who uses specific diagnoses or mental health in general as a tool to insult, ridicule or joke about others (usually politicians) Everyone's vetting process is personal to them. I see a lot of folks who say no profile pic, no bio, no follow. I vet every Follow Back. My main reasons for vetting is this: https://bsky.app/profile/conspirator0.bsky.social/post/3lnynrriscs2a and the overwhelming amount of bipolar bigotry/ableism we have been experiencing in the last 8+ months. 7/9 The profile search was fixed (yah or boo!!! IDK) It was a nice break to look at folks at their best instead of searching for the worst. My (Current) Process: 💜💜💜ONE (really long and detailed - if you know these keywords - bipolar, manic, psychotic, mental - have never been posted and aren't an issue, you can choose to skip down to 💜💜💜TWO) Keyword search. The search option for any profile is listed under the three dots in the upward right of that profile. My keywords are "bipolar" "manic" "psychotic" and "mental." If those are in the person's posts (about 2% average of my vetting over the past 2 months) what I do next depends on context. If it is obvious they are a member of the Bipolar Community, it is an instant follow - no other questions asked. If there is one post (only one) and is over 6 weeks old, I reply to THAT post with this info: This really 💔 breaks my heart. I'm so sad. I can't Follow Back at this time. After I work through my Follow Back backlog (2.2K 8/24/2025) I will go back through and look - if the original post has been deleted. If it has at that time, I will continue vetting. If not, I'll add that person to the blocklist. If the person has posted recent ableism or posts several stigmatizing comments specifically about Bipolar Disorder or Bipolar symptoms, I blocklist them Please note, there is a way to be removed from that blocklist and some people have worked through that process. I have my subscription set to Mute just in case I have made a mistake and also so anyone on the list can read the description/how to get removed. FYI, blocking me (or anyone who makes a blocklist) will not remove one from that list. If the post was about "bipolar weather" (even if they said "bipolar ass weather" which torques my butt) I'll respond with this and just move along...(with the exception of people who feel the need to block me for calling them out. There is no guarantee that any person I don't know won't decide to be spiteful and DoubleDown. My problem there is blocked, I cannot see if they do. The people who possess the skill and civility to call out Felon47's very obvious cognitive decline or Musk's just as obvious bizarre behavior and moral failings WITHOUT stigmatizing specific MH diagnoses get a Follow Back and usually a post recognizing their skill and humanity. The "psychotic" search was added (8/7/2025) after someone declared all folks who had Bipolar 1 were psychotic. A quick system keyword search showed the word is seriously overused by people who have no idea what psychosis really is. 8/28 I wrote this just now and will use it until I come up with something better: "Explanation of my keyword search as part of vetting process is linked in my bio. The word "psychotic" used to describe political figures is way overused. Don't believe me? search it. This post is a combination of factual info and my personal experiences. If so, I'll probably refer before I block. 💜💜💜TWO Second keyword search: Dems, Democrats (added 8/21/2025) The last couple of weeks I have noticed (during regular scrolling) negative posts referencing "the Dems" or "the Democrats" After a few hit my nerves wrong, I started searching their profiles for those 2 keywords...and I found continuous, consistent negative comments (in one case over 50.) So, today it got so far under my skin that I've started a second moderation list. At this point, my paranoid best believes these are infiltrating bad actors with the goal of keeping us focused on the negatives snd urging third party creation. (Very low chance of success.) If you are demonstrating this behavior, you probably shouldn't follow me... 💜💜💜THREE "Media" column: I am a world-class meme thief so the first thing I check is if you have quality memes. 😜 People who take the extra time to provide alt text for the visually challenged are very easily spotted under this heading. (Ask me for a link to my longer.blue that explains alt text - if you are interested.) I make graphics and I made a cool meme that I post acknowledging and appreciating people who write alt text after immediately following (whether Im vetting a Follow Back or if I just saw some alt text and stopped everything to look at that person right then!) 💜💜💜FOUR "Replies" column: every post one adds content to is under this heading. Original posts, replies and quote posts. (Reposts aren't here and are not counted in one's total posts.) What one says gives me a clear idea about who they are as a person. 💜💜💜FINAL THOUGHTS Anyone who is in that 2.2K backlog (8/24/2925 🔥 according to Bsky Tracker. It shows the numbers without Blocks hanging on...) that wants to jump the line, show up in my Notifications - Replies. I vet the folks that start talking to me first.😜 So, again, please decide what your vetting process is and vet me before following me.
