There’s a difference between being liked and being attractive. You can be polite, agreeable, and easy to talk to. People might like you. But if you’re holding back every real opinion, waiting for permission to speak, and trying to make sure nobody disapproves of you, they never get to feel you. Attraction has a different energy. It’s flow. It’s leading. It’s being fully expressive. You say what you think. You show your sense of humor. You make a move when you want to, and you can hear “no” without falling apart. Being nice is good. I want to be kind to people. But I don’t want to trade my personality for approval. I’d rather be fully myself and find out who connects with me than be liked by everyone because I never gave them anything real to react to.
