Dave makes landfall over Western Scotland. Satellite imager at 20:50 UTC showed the core Dave on crossing the coastline of Western Scotland. The low itself has continued to become very disrupted due to the higher terrain and rapid dry air entrainment. The low has continued to produce moderate to severe gales widely. However sustained gusts are going to steadily weaken as the low traverses farther over mainland Scotland. Into tomorrow Eastern Scotland will see sharp gusts but to what extent due to the weakening trend of Dave is yet to be seen. This will be assessed during the morning. The low itself will have a chance to re-intensify once over the North Sea tomorrow, before it makes landfall over Western Norway. These trends will be monitored to wither the system will re-intensify or not. But regardless blizzard conditions are expected over Norway from this system in any areas that receive the wind field. Areas may have significant snowfall with little to now wind. Regardless Preparations in Norway should be underway as Dave will be a potent snowstorm for the country. INT ... 55 KTS ... 65 MPH
