Background: Born to Rickon Stark and a Targaryen who chose to venture to the North, Kaz grew up at Winterfell for a good portion of his life at the request of his father. His mother, without any fuss, obliged as she felt that it would have been best as she couldn't be seen with a bastard child at her skirts in the court. Besides, Rickon ensured that Kaz would be well protected within the walls of Winterfell than Kings Landing, get a better education with their maester and well trained with their master-at-arms, alongside his (legitimate) brother Cregan and the other bastard child, his sister, Sara. Cregan, Sara and himself actually got along quite well and oddly enough he wasn't treated like a Snow as it was suggested by a select few around his Lord father, instead Kaz was shown respect. He thought it was because of his father's sometimes firmness in the matter, and he was often correct, that even though he was indeed a bastard, the Starks (at the time, unlike in the GoT world) treated him like he was one of them. That warmth carried over even after Rickon died and Cregan took over the title of Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. He still offered him a place at his table but because Kaz didn't wish to burden him, he made a request to his newly appointed Lord to grant him leave. And Cregan did grant his brother his request, Sara followed suit and went with Kaz as he went South to King's Landing. He found himself being drawn to King's Landing and therefore it was where he chose to settle. Kaz already held some knowledge about the city because he traveled along with his father when he swore obeisance to Princess Rhaenyra. They didn't depart straight away and stayed for a few days thereafter because it was quite taxing to travel from the far reaches of the North to the South. During his little stay, he took time to explore through the Red Keep and whilst his father was busy doing whatever it was he was there to do or tend to business with King Viserys, Kaz would sneak off to explore the city a bit and the castle itself. Ensuring that he stayed out of trouble so he wouldn't make his father look bad. While doing his explorations, he learned about the ins and outs, hidden pathways, entryways and exits of the Red Keep, what were good places and not to go within the city, to an extent that is. Kaz had learned most of his knowledge about the city and the Red Keep through books and taking time to do his own research. Some of his favorite places to visit were Visenya's Hill which was near the Street of Silk, where most of the brothels were (he avoided them for the most part) and where The Great Sept of Baelor was and Rhaenys Hill near Flea Bottom, which housed the Dragonpit. Kaz never got close enough to the dragonpit on the hill, although the temptation was always there, well it wasn't temptation it was mere curiosity. Once Kaz left Winterfell and the North in general and finally got to King's Landing, he quickly found himself a decent apartment with the coin he had saved over time and funds his brother sent him off with. Housing his sister Sara for a few months until she found work, which she did find, working in one of the taverns. She was able to save her own funds so she could find herself an apartment. It wasn't until much later that he found out Sylvie had recruited Sara into working at her brothel. This never sat well with him but there was nothing he could do, she was her own person. He found a place around the Street of Flour, which consisted of a plethora of bakeries and shops that sold baked foods and goods. He really couldn't have picked a better spot, it was that or down where the smiths worked. While living within the city, he took the opportunity to learn more about the different parts he chose to avoid when he was younger like the Street of Silk and the Street of Steel, where plenty of blacksmiths had their businesses and lived. However, one place he had always avoided even as a boy was Pisswater Bend, simply because that was the worst of the worst of Flea Bottom. Currently to make money, he works as a delivery person (medieval Door Dash!) for a shop that he lives by and only goes to that area when there's deliveries to be made and quickly leaves after he does what he needs to do. Sometimes he would simply refuse to deliver there. Features: Once Kaz had grown older the dark brown features of his hair were more dominant as it was a notorious feature of the Stark bloodline and when he was a baby up until he was around nine or ten, his eyes gave off a pale grey coloration, another Stark feature, but it changed to a blue color. Otherwise he took after his mother in other ways, not limited to just height and stature. Relationships: Kaz, by chance, runs into Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and they form an unlikely friendship which eventually blossoms into something more. Much later during their relationship Kaz eventually claims the dragon Vermithor (with Rhaenyra as a witness) way before the sowing of dragon seeds and thus his Targaryen lineage is more up front now and questioned since Vermithor chose Kaz without any qualms. Vermithor was a prickly dragon after the death of Old King Jaehaerys, however he easily bent his neck to Kaz. The signs were always there with him and his Targaryen bloodline, he just never paid any attention to it. One example was after an encounter with Rhaenyra and Syrax early on during their relationship. He’d felt a sudden calmness with and around her dragon and Syrax even let him get close enough without trying to burn him or snap at him. Eventually Kaz is able to shed the Snow last name and is legitimized as a Targaryen by Viserys at court much to Alicent's dismay and due to her own boiling jealousies that she harbours for Rhaenyra. Kaz becomes one of Rhaenyra's loyal and firm dragonriders and champions for her birthright (much like Viserys did until he died). They end up having six children together (Visenya makes it) and because Alicent is a bitter jealous bitch she and Otto begin to spread the seeds of doubt around about how Kaz isn't the father of Rhaenyra’s children and it's their sworn protector, Ser Harwin.
