Update on the Lil Grey neighborhood cat: She hasn’t been by in several days, & she had just purrfected her routine with me: Arrive at dawn & annoy the squirrels on the patio by sitting on Sammy Squirrel’s favorite chair right next to the kitchen door, waiting for me to open up. Purr, loves, cuddles & demand her cattacino. Lap it up, brief stint on the couch then insist on going outside via the front door, as per usual procedure. Come back midafternoon for long nap on the couch with the heating pad & soft blanket. Late evening, wake rambunctiously and demand exit again. That was a set routine. Then, suddenly no visits. But a few mornings ago, I spotted her WITH THE OTHER GREY CAT, the bigger one that looks so much like her, slipping around the edge of the lilac trees. Mama cat had her in tow! I think she’s trying to teach her to hunt. Enough of the lazy life! That’s what it looked like. I definitely miss her cuddly company. 😻 😿 Needless to say, the squirrels are quite pleased that she’s not around. 🙃
