Some people have the misconception that coaching is snake oil. It isn’t. Good coaching helps people see what they cannot see on their own. It identifies the beliefs, habits, emotional patterns, and blind spots keeping someone stuck—and then turns that awareness into practical change. A good coach asks the right questions, challenges weak thinking, provides an outside perspective, and holds people accountable to the person they say they want to become. The results extend beyond the coaching session: clearer decisions, stronger communication, consistent action, greater emotional stability, and measurable progress in real life. The goal isn’t to make someone dependent on a coach. It’s to help them become more capable, self-aware, confident, and effective on their own. That isn’t snake oil. That’s transformation.
