Lisa is Old School. “ Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski broke with her party to endorse Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins for Alaska governor. Murkowski told local station KTUU that the three Republicans in the ranked-choice race are overly partisan and lack the bipartisanship the job requires. She called Kreiss-Tomkins “a young Alaskan with a view and a perspective that I think Alaska needs right now, a freshness of energy.” She also described him as “a commonsense guy who has a known ability to be working together.” Murkowski has broken with Trump many times, but endorsing a Democrat for governor in the final week of the campaign is a major blow to Alaska Republicans.
