For fun we've been calling my 3.0 visual rebrand my "villain arc," and he, for sure, is a very spooky, edgy boy. While I won't be showing the full character sheet until much closer, i'd like to touch on the design theory: ✦ My 2.0's mechanical bits represent my modern interests: streaming, tech, gaming. All the rest symbolized the ancient self-help philosophy I practice. ✧ My 3.0's look gives the impression of an encroaching, consuming, living, corrupting force, barely being held back. ✦ The kintsugi lines across the design represent my managing to heal some of my soul through my belief system, and my constant "two wolves" struggle not letting successes or failures distract me from trying to teach others how to do the same. ✧ My 3.0's necklace, one of the last real spots of color, is the same as 2.0's; the flame symbolizes "carrying the fire," or being a good person as the highest priority; the 4 columns are the Stoic virtues of Courage, Temperance, Wisdom, Justice. The impression the "corrupting force" is struggling to overtake the heart isn't an accident. ✦ Where the 2.0's design was a pretty on-the-nose breakdown of my interests, the 3.0 is much closer to a visceral snapshot of who I am and whats lead me here. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
