Introduction: Alexander Pearce: Azrael, Angel of Death. About: In my portrayal Azrael had sided with Lucifer during the unrest in heaven after Lucifer’s failed coup against his father. This resulted in him (Azrael) being banished to Earth right along with others who participated or agreed. After Azrael fell from heaven, it took him what mortals deem days for Lucifer to track him down. Most of the fallen had either lost part or all memory of what they were/are and how they ended up down on Earth. Some unfortunately didn't even make it as life here was far too hard or they were mysteriously disappearing. Luckily for him it wasn't so bad (at least to him), he just remained in a heavy fog and in a confused state for several days, roaming the streets and seeking shelter wherever he could. Eventually being tracked down by his old friend, taken in and was cared for until everything had lifted. Once he was more coherent and together, Adrian (Lucifer) had suggested that Azrael take on a mortal name for himself and has since been going by Alexander Pearce or Alex for short. Alex and Adrian’s friendship was only made stronger despite the latter's father's attempts to destroy it. Alex was also responsible for finding his friend's lost love, Lilith and reuniting them, although hers was a more severe case of memory loss that he helped her work through. Alex works as Adrian’s right hand and helps him out wherever he can or is called up for jobs, especially ones he doesn't trust with anyone else. Alex also still somehow retained his ability to be the “angel of death” although it's been significantly weakened and it's something that he's unaware of currently. Despite everything, Alex is a relatively good natured and funny person, bouncy at times because he has a lot of energy to expel. However, he will do just about anything to protect his friends, mainly Adrian and Vada (Lilith), some of the other supernaturals and those stemming from Adrian and Vada’s creation. About the angel himself: Azrael, who is commonly known as the angel of death in various religions as well as some new age belief systems. He's the one who separates souls from their bodies at the moment of death, facilitating the transition to the afterlife. However Azrael's role is sometimes expanded to include assisting individuals during significant life transitions, offering support and solace. He is often described as having multiple wings and eyes, symbolizing his vast knowledge and reach, while sometimes he is also depicted with a scythe.
