07T is named Craig and is beginning to intensify. The system has moved off New Foundland fairly quickly through today. The system has also showed signs of a strong mid latitude cyclone in development. The system is already showing signs of a broad circulation. This will mature with time and as the system merges with the low-pressure system that was part of EX-Hurricane Isaias through tomorrow. This in turn will result in the storm undergoing a possibly extremely remarkable phase of explosive cyclogenesis. The model guidance remains to show an exceptionally powerful mid latitude cyclone impacting Iceland and Faroe Islands on Wednesday. Where guidance shows strong winds effecting much of Iceland. With the strong risk of downslope wind events. Where gusts may be amplified due to the steep terrain of Iceland. This will result in the already high likelihood of some areas seeing Hurricane forced gusts even more likely. As well as heavy rainfall and snowfall which may be confined to higher terrain of Iceland. The Faroe Islands will also see the high risk of hurricane forced gusts. However, the plausible sting jet of the system may pass extremely close but keep its winds offshore. However, these model trends will be monitored exceptionally closely. As any wobbles further east may result in the max wind band or sting jet directly impacting Faroe Islands. Trends will also be monitored for a more northward wobbles that may move the low's centre further into Iceland. Other impacts for Iceland and Faroe Islands include: Coastal flooding, River flooding and damage to structures and downed trees. Power outages are also likely. Preparations must be rushed to completion by today. As this is storm will pose a danger to life and property. With the fronts of the system effecting Scotland with the potential for hurricane forced gusts across northwest Scotland. Farther southwards wind gusts are to be weaker as the front progresses. Coastal areas of Rep of Ireland and Northern Ireland may see coastal gale force gusts. Along with Irish sea coasts. With gale force gusts over spread much of the UK through Wednesday night. However these winds with the front weakening all the while. With heavy rainfall also expected from this front. Which may result in some tree damage and possibly structural damage along with some disruption to power and travel. Preparations in Northern portions of Scotland must be also be completed by tomorrow. Interests in Rep of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland should monitor the progress of this system. And most particularly Iceland and The Faroe Islands. INT ... 40 KTS ... 45 MPH
