France is getting lenient on the whole Africa because of the colonial redemption (still occurring strongly in Algeria). It s a mistake to have let russia s influence grow over there but at the same time, we do not rule Africa. The USA got booted out too. It is Africa s mistake in the first place. You can t force the help to someone who doesn t want it. They think they can outsmart russia and China, their choice. We already tried with both civil and military help. Both failed, violent groups chose dirty money and citizens too 🤷‍♀️ Well at least all this military stuff went to Ukraine. But I still care about what is happening there, Wagner is there and doing the same shit they did in Ukraine... But yes, I believe Nordic countries are taking very good initiatives and can try to smoothe the rifts inside EU (+UK). There are tries between France and Poland, with mixed results. :/ We share some big positions like Ukraine or Mercosur, but for a long time Poland was relying too much on the USA for military stuff while France was advocating for more EU independance. And don t forget Poland has a strong Far Right party, which is hard to deal with. About France to me the main issue is Macron himself. His pride overrides his wisdom ( see parliament dissolution last year at the worst moment, with huge bad consequences today : we changed twice our PM in less than 6 months). He s not very good with compromises (ikr from his domestic Politics, even weakened, stubborn af). Barrot/Lecornu duo is promissing tho. At least Macron is 100% pro-EU and pro-Ukraine, despite some weird phrasing journalists love to interpret for free bashing 🙄. I m more worried about the general population : support is lowering because of Far Right rising (like everywhere but now it s a concerning lvl). lol a lot of text while a lot more to say about the faith I have for Nordic countries momentum, apologies. 🙃
