I’m all for a sunny morning except on the one day I wanted to sleep in. I like a dark room. I’ve got blinds, blackout drapes, and somehow sunlight still finds its way through the gap above the curtain rod. So I did what any stubborn guy would do: went hunting for that long piece of cardboard I’ve been saving under the basement sofa for no particular reason. Dragged it upstairs, grabbed some scissors and tape, and started what can only be described as a questionable home-improvement project. Covered the top quarter of the window, stepped back, closed the drapes, and checked my work. Light still sneaks through and paints the ceiling. It’ll do. The sun and I can call this one a draw.
