Oliver looked at the fish’s dead eyes staring back at him, and slowly went to bite at the end of the seaweed, only for its rubbery texture and bitter taste to make him spit it out. “You wouldn’t happen to have anything else, would you?” Oliver pleaded. “If you want to search around, I’m sure some of your shipmates’ bodies are still floating around somewhere.” Aglaopheme growled. “On second thought, I think this will do nicely for dinner. Thank you.” Oliver might’ve thought the divisive snort he received as a response was a laugh, but he had the good graces to ignore it.
