Alright. My rant regarding The Boys and the music in the final season. Here goes nothing. A couple of months ago, I had an unusual amount of downtime at work. Not sure what to do, I looked at Manuel Karamori's Youtube channel where he uploaded lots of videos of him at his main job - he was a piano vocalist on cruise ships (also, a Freddie Mercury impersonator but that's a topic for another rant). I watched many of those videos. One of the artists that kept popping up was Billy Joel and, of course, the song "Piano man". Over time, I kinda came to associate the song with Manuel. He became MY "Piano man", if you will. Fast forward to last week and The Boys, season 5, episode 7 (the penultimate one). When Hughie and Butcher were discussing their favourite Billy Joel songs (because of reasons), I was like "Why no 'Piano man'?!". Then, I wondered whether they might use it for the end credits of that episode. When that didn't happen, I kinds forgot about the whole event. Well, that didn't last long because THEY USED THE SONG FOR THE END OF THE FINALE. I... wasn't okay then and still am not. I would've loved to see Manuel's reaction to this, goddammit. Goddammit.
